Pattern and Texture Gallery
I think the best photo i took was the bottom left photograph, a picture of an exhaust vent. I got pretty close to the vent to take the picture so that the vent was the main subject matter. When i was taking the picture i decided to get lower than the vent and look up at it and be slightly away from the wall. When taking the picture i did consider the rule of thirds and therefore i made sure the subject matter was not centered. The vent is an example of both pattern and texture, the pattern is the actual vent part of the picture that moves horizontally and up and down. Across the board i think the over exposed picture is the top right picture because the light is too bright and distracts the eye from the rest of the picture. An under exposed picture is the bottom right, there really isn't too much light in the picture and is really kind of dark. I think that a properly exposed picture is the top right picture, the lights aren't too light and the darks aren't too dark in he picture.
